Recommendations

Develop and implement a process for determining what information each user group needs and regularly provide that information on NRC‟s blog and in NRC‟s Twitter feed.

Engage in active outreach to bloggers and other social media followers by providing special opportunities to connect with NRC staff, such as tailored content, virtual or physical meet and greets, and discussions.

Develop and implement a process for regularly hosting brown bags or other training classes to build awareness of NRC social media activities.

Evaluate all of OPA‟s published materials and make sure information on how social media can be accessed by users is clearly defined and visible.

Periodically host a blogger‟s roundtable where NRC invites prominent nuclear bloggers to opine on key issues. This can be done either in person or virtually through forums such as Google Communities.
