Recommendations

Periodically monitor actual performance against theestablished metric for updating directives and supplementarydocuments that are due for revision. Based on themonitoring of this metric, take appropriate corrective actionsas warranted.

Establish a directive or supplementary documentstandardizing the document concurrence (Green Folder)process and include a maximum timeframe metric forindividuals included in the document concurrence process.

Develop and implement a formal, consistent plan forprioritizing the creation and certification review of directivesand supplementary documents.

Provide periodic formal training on policy writing.

Review and document targeted work processes to identifyareas where additional directives or supplementarydocuments are needed or can be consolidated .
